Private Safehouse Network (PSN) Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 1 July 2025
1 Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how PSN (“PSN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. The policy applies to: Members (Hosts and Guests) using our Services. And Visitors to our website and app.
2 Categories of Information We Collect
PSN collects information directly from you, automatically via the Services and from third‑party sources.
Information you provide: When you join PSN or list a Safehouse, we collect contact details (such as your name, email and phone number), demographic data (e.g., your age), Safehouse information (address, amenities and photographs), payment details (credit card number, billing address) and, for VIP members, background‑check data. We use this information to create and manage your account, process membership and readiness fees, facilitate Safehouse listings and conduct background checks.
Automatically collected data: When you use our Services we automatically gather device and usage information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the time spent on each page, as well as geolocation data that identifies Safehouses near you. We also use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and personalization. This data helps us operate and secure the platform, remember your preferences, detect fraud, provide relevant Safehouse suggestions and analyze how Members use PSN.
Information from third‑party sources: We receive additional information from payment processors (e.g., transaction status or the last four digits of your card), background‑check providers (e.g., criminal records or sanctions lists) and other verification services. We may also collect information from publicly available sources. These third‑party data sources allow us to verify your identity, ensure the safety of other Members, process payments, enhance user profiles and meet legal obligations.
Derived or aggregated information: PSN may derive risk assessments or readiness scores (for example, by analyzing your proximity to hazards) and create aggregated or de‑identified analytics. This derived information is used internally to improve our Services, personalize training materials and measure membership benefits, but it does not identify individual Members.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as race, religion, health information or biometric data, unless required for legal compliance or background checks. PSN does not knowingly collect personal data of individuals under 18 years of age.
3 How We Use Your Information
PSN uses personal information only as permitted by law and for legitimate business purposes:
Provide and operate the Services: register accounts, match Guests with Hosts, manage bookings, process payments and maintain safety.
Perform background checks: verify identity, screen against criminal, sanctions and watch lists for VIP Tier or when safety requires.
Communicate: send activation alerts, readiness materials, service updates, newsletters and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time).
Personalize and improve: analyze usage, develop new features, measure performance, conduct risk assessments and deliver tailored training materials.
Comply with legal obligations: respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms of Use, prevent fraud, protect our rights and those of Members, and meet tax/record‑keeping requirements.
4 Sharing and Disclosure
PSN does not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: with payment processors (e.g., Stripe), background‑check vendors, insurance providers, communications platforms (e.g., email/SMS services) and IT vendors who process data on our behalf and under contractual obligations of confidentiality.
Host–Guest Matching: limited personal data is shared between Hosts and Guests to arrange stays (e.g., first name, phone number, arrival details). Safehouse addresses are provided only upon activation to protect Host privacy.
Legal Compliance: when required by law, subpoena or legal process; or to protect the safety and rights of PSN, Members or the public; or to enforce our policies.
Business Transfers: if PSN is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to confidentiality agreements.
With Your Consent: we may share data for other purposes that you authorize.
PSN does not allow third‑party advertisers to target members, and we do not sell contact lists or leads.
5 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (as cookies are phased out and replaced), analytics and personalization. Cookies help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and analyze how you use the Services.
Analytics: We partner with analytics providers to collect anonymized usage metrics. These partners may set cookies or other identifiers on your device.
Do Not Track: Browsers often permit users to send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no industry standard, PSN currently does not respond to these signals but continuously reviews emerging standards.
6 Retention and Deletion
Retention Period: We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. Data related to inactive accounts is deleted or anonymized after 24 month, unless longer retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements or protect our rights.
Deletion Requests: You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will delete or anonymize your data unless retention is required to comply with legal obligations or maintain operational backups.
Aggregated Data: PSN may retain aggregated or anonymized data (which cannot identify you) for analytics and reporting indefinitely.
7 Security
PSN implements reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Measures include encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS), restricted access controls, secure coding practices, regular audits, vendor security assessments and disaster‑recovery planning. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9 International Data Transfers
PSN is based in the United States and stores data on U.S. servers. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored and processed in the U.S. or other countries. These countries may have data‑protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, PSN uses approved contractual safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure adequate protection when transferring data internationally.
10 Children’s Privacy
